The sea has always been part of my life. I grew up with a natural connection to the water, the wind, and the sense of freedom that only sailing can offer. Through sailing, I learned some of life’s most important lessons: discipline, patience, resilience, and respect for nature.
My connection to sailing began at a very young age and became even more meaningful when my grandfather gave me my first boat. That was where everything truly began. More than a gift, it marked the beginning of a passion that has stayed with me ever since. I still hold that memory as one of the most special moments in my journey.
Over the years, sailing became much more than a sport. It became a way of life. Through training sessions, regattas, and long days spent at sea, I developed a deep relationship with the ocean and everything it represents. There is something truly special about leaving the marina without knowing exactly what the wind, the sea, or the day will bring. Every time is different, and that is what fascinates me most.
Sailing has also allowed me to meet people, discover places, and experience moments that have shaped who I am. Beyond competition, what I have always valued most is the feeling of freedom and connection with nature that comes from being at sea. It is an environment that teaches presence, awareness, and humility.
Today, I still see the sea as a place of balance. Whether I am competing, training, or simply sailing, it is where I feel most connected to myself. My bond with the ocean has influenced not only my sporting journey, but also the way I look at life: with respect for timing, conditions, and the ability to adapt.
Sailing has taught me that we cannot always control the wind, but we can always choose how to adjust our sails.
